A wide range of standard, and normally stocked, anchorage systems are available from Stainton Metal, ranging from an M18 x 400mm long bolt through to an M39 x 1380mm. They are available in either self colour or galvanised finishes. In addition a full range of stainless steel anchorage cradles are available in full compliance to the Highways Agency Specification requirements.
Our standard anchor bolts are manufactured from ribbed steel bar used in reinforced concrete, threads are cut in with one end of the rebar being turned down and threaded giving a bolt which have superb adhesion qualities in the concrete foundation. Anchor bolts are normally supplied with 3 nuts and 2 washers, allowing 1 nut and washer to be fitted below the flangeplate allowing quick and easy adjustment at site, 2 nuts, one being a locking nut, is then fitted above the flangeplate. Care should be taken to protect the exposed nuts and washers if they are self-colour and it is normal practise to coat these items with Denso tape, zinc rich paint or a suitable grease cap.
In addition to the anchor bolt foundation we manufacture a range of bolt on root options allowing a flangeplated column to be converted into a planted root ones. This flexibility is most useful if columns or poles have to be removed for any reason after installation.
